Ok that's cute, very cute! It is beautiful and atleast you had something you could 'call' a tree. You did have presents around it too! So it was complete.
My tree is my usual 15 yrs old artificial tree which I think is still beautiful after all these yrs, even though it is kind of crooked.
Yep, there is no need to be extravagant. It's about sharing and enjoying time with our loved ones, not about buying the biggest and the best.
